Geolevels
In this table area levels can be edited.
Changes can be made through the buttons, a popup menu (right mouse button) and direct modification of a field
You can use the filters to make a selection

Area Count
The number of geo items will indicate how many geo items of that geo level are present. This value is automatically calculated and cannot be adjusted.
Geolevel code
Each area level needs to have a unique code to distinct itself from other levels.
Name Singular
This field can specify the name (singular) of an area level.
Name Plural
You can give a geo level a name. The name is split in two parts here: single name and plural name. For the municipality geo level, "municipality " is the singular name and "municipality n" the plural name. singular name or plural name are used, depending on the number of geo items that have been selected for a presentation, in the presentation overview of Swing, for example.
View Map
If there is no map available for a geo level, this can be indicated by turning off the option 'Show map'.
Description
For each area level a short description can be specified.
It is possible to add some formatting to the description by using a limited set of HTML elements. The following elements are permitted:
- <strong> or <b>
- <i>
- <u>
- <em>
- <p>
- <span>
- <h1> t/m <h6>
Because the text of the description may contain HTML code, it must be taken into account that valid HTML code is used. Especially the < character (<) and > character (>) must be added as valid HTML code.
In order to have more in depth information it is recommended to include this information in a HTML file, and assign it to the more information field.
InfoURL
If there is additional information available on a geo level, then the administrator can record this extra information in an HTML file. The name of this file then needs to be recorded in the 'More Information' column.
SequenceNr
The sequence number of a geo level indicates the sequence in which the geo levels are displayed on the geo level control in the user version.
Type
Geo items can have one of the following three types:
- Area
- Location
- Line
- Cluster
These types relate to the geo items belonging to that geo level. If for the municipality level the Area type is set, then all municipalities belong to that type. A location only has an x- and and a y-coordinate. For roads you need to use the Line type. A geolevel of the cluster type requires a base geolevel. The base level indicates which geographic level the clustering is based on. For example, in the case of clustering based on the size of a municipality, the base level would be the municipality. The relation between the areas from the base level and the areas from the cluster level are defined in the geolevel aggregation table.
SelectType
The selection type indicates in which way the geo level can be selected in the selection dialog when making a presentation. There are four different selection types:
- Not selectable
Geo items of this geo level are not shown and cannot be chosen in the geo selection screen when making a presentation.
- Fully selectable
Geo items of this geo level can be chosen anywhere.
- Only select as contour
Geo items of this geo level need to be split and can be chosen by the selection assistant.
- Only select as split up
Geo items of this geo level can only be chosen by splitting.
- Splitup not selectable
Geo items of this geo level cannot be chosen when splitting.
- Only selectable in compare
Geo items from this geo level can only be selected within the comparison geo level.
- Only selectable in report
Geo items of this geo level can only be chosen in reports.
BoundingRectLeft
It can be determined for map presentations in which position and scale the area should be presented.
With the RD coordination-system the location of a fixed point in the Netherlands can be indicated by use of RD-coordinates.
Each presentation is presented in a frame.
This means that two coordinates need to be determined:
- Upper outline: y-coordinate left top corner
- Left outline: x-coordinate left top corner
- Lower outline: y-coordinate right bottom corner
- Right outline: x-coordinate right bottom corner
BoundingRectRight
It can be determined for map presentations in which position and scale the area should be presented.
With the RD coordination-system the location of a fixed point in the Netherlands can be indicated by use of RD-coordinates.
Each presentation is presented in a frame.
This means that two coordinates need to be determined:
- Upper outline: y-coordinate left top corner
- Left outline: x-coordinate left top corner
- Lower outline: y-coordinate right bottom corner
- Right outline: x-coordinate right bottom corner
BoundingRectTop
It can be determined for map presentations in which position and scale the area should be presented.
With the RD coordination-system the location of a fixed point in the Netherlands can be indicated by use of RD-coordinates.
Each presentation is presented in a frame.
This means that two coordinates need to be determined:
- Upper outline: y-coordinate left top corner
- Left outline: x-coordinate left top corner
- Lower outline: y-coordinate right bottom corner
- Right outline: x-coordinate right bottom corner
BoundingRectBottom
It can be determined for map presentations in which position and scale the area should be presented.
With the RD coordination-system the location of a fixed point in the Netherlands can be indicated by use of RD-coordinates.
Each map is presented in a frame.
This means that two coordinates need to be determined:
- Upper outline: y-coordinate left top corner
- Left outline: x-coordinate left top corner
- Lower outline: y-coordinate right bottom corner
- Right outline: x-coordinate right bottom corner
BaseGeoLevel
For cluster area levels a base area level must be specified. The base area level indicates which area level the clustering is based on. Consider, for example, a clustering based on the size of a municipality, the base area level being the municipality.
The area aggregation must indicate the relationships between the areas from the basic area level and the areas from the cluster level.
NamingEndMark
In order to display names nicely in a map, it is possible to shorten geo item names automatically with the help of separation-texts.
For each geo level it can be indicated if this option is used and which string is used as the naming-endmark.
ReportCode
If a report is set for an area level, this report is generated when more information is requested for a geo item.
In this report an input with the name "input_geo" should be available.
If no report is available, the default info page will be used instead.
Object icon
In this field the object icon for an area level containing objects is set.
The entry for this field contains the name of the icon font used followed by a dot and then the code for the icon (unicode).
The icon font "FontAwesome" is installed by default on the server.
