Items

In this table dimension level items can be edited.

Changes can be made through the buttons, a popup menu (right mouse button) and direct modification of a field

You can use the filters to make a selection

Item code

Each dimension level item must have a unique code to distinguish itself from another.

Name

Each dimension level item can be given a name.

It is not possible to use HTML code in a name.

ViewType

You can indicate for each dimension level item whether it can be shown, and in which way, in the user version of Swing.

The following values are possible:

  • Show: the dimension level item will be displayed in Swing
  • Hide: the dimension level item will not be displayed in Swing
  • Hide and use for total: the dimension level item is not displayed in Swing, but the data for that dimension level item will be taken into account for calculating totals in Swing Viewer.

If no dimension level item of a dimension level is chosen, then the view type of all dimension level items in the dimension level is ignored. The data of all dimension level items is included in the aggregation of the cube.

Description

A description about the dimesnion level item can be given here. This allows the administrator to include additional information about the dimension. The user can request this information when viewing indicator properties.

It is possible to add some formatting to the description by using a limited set of HTML elements. The following elements are permitted:

  • <strong> or <b>
  • <i>
  • <u>
  • <em>
  • <p>
  • <span>
  • <h1> t/m <h6>

Because the text of the description may contain HTML code, it must be taken into account that valid HTML code is used. Especially the < character (&lt;) and > character (&gt;) must be added as valid HTML code.

More information

If there is additional information available about a dimension level item, the administrator can include this additional information in an HTML file. The name of this file must then be entered in the 'More information' column.

SequenceNr

The sequence number of a dimension level item indicates the order in which the dimension level items are shown in Swing Studio. Changes will only take effect after restarting Swing Studio.

Exclude this dimension level item from search, the dimension level item will not be indexed and not be available in search results.
