Data sources
In this table data sources can be edited.
Changes can be made through the buttons, a popup menu (right mouse button) and direct modification of a field.
You can use the filters to make a selection.

Data source code
Each data source should have a unique code.
Name
A name is required for each source.
Short name
You can also specify a short name for a source. When defined, this short name will be used in Swing Viewer.
Summary
Short summary of the data source.
Description
For each data source a short description can be specified.
It is possible to add some formatting to the description by using a limited set of HTML elements. The following elements are permitted:
- <strong> or <b>
- <i>
- <u>
- <em>
- <p>
- <span>
- <h1> t/m <h6>
Because the text of the description may contain HTML code, it must be taken into account that valid HTML code is used. Especially the < character (<) and > character (>) must be added as valid HTML code
In order to have more in depth information it is recommended to include this information in a HTML file, and assign it to the more information field.
Data status
Short explanation of the status of the data in the source
e.g. definitive, temporary or definitive/temporary
Terms of use
The terms of use of a data source can be saved in this field. The terms of use will be displayed by Swing in the 'More information' dialog and will be added when exporting as a table.
Metadata modification date
This field indicates the most recent update of the metadata associated with this datasource.
Reference date
The reference date indicates the date data refers to.
e.g. January 1st or December 31st
Scale level
The scale level details the lowest geographical area the data is available.
e.g. gemeente
Frequency
The frequency states how often the data is published and is also indication of the period scale level.
e.g. monthly, quarterly, yearly, irregular
Actuality
The actuality indicates how recent the most current data is.
e.g. new data is published 6 months after the calendar year
Source data owner
The organization, such as a company, an institution, or an association, that has intellectual ownership of the source data.
e.g. Centraal bureau voor de Statistiek
Source data files
Link to the available files of the source data.
Source data keeper
Indicating which party has made edits to the data.
Methodology
Description or link to the specific procedures or techniques used to identify, select, process, and analyze the source data.
Remarks
Enter specific (temporary) remarks about the source.
Keywords
Specify keywords for this data source, use ; to split keywords. Keywords are used by Swing for better search results.
Info url
If there is additional information available on a data source, the administrator can record this extra information in an HTML file. The name of this file should then be registered under the 'More information' column. Elements that have been recorded are, for example, the properties of the datasource, information on the datasource manager or other background information.
If a data source is linked to a HTML-file, the user can click on the name of the source in the window 'More information'.
Source data type
In this column you can specify the datasource type.
Modify metadata
Last modification date of source metadata.
Contact details
Contact details of source data owner.
e.g. https://www.cbs.nl/nl-nl/over-ons/contact
Free text field 1
This field is not visible in the user version and can be used by the Administrator to add extra information to datasources.
Free text field 2
This field is not visible in the user version and can be used by the Administrator to add extra information to datasources.
Free text field 3
This field is not visible in the user version and can be used by the Administrator to add extra information to datasources.
Footnote
With the help of this field the Administrator can add additional information to the data source in form of a footnote.
Theme
Place to store the theme of a datasource
Category
Place to store the category of a datasource
Comparability over time
Describes whether the data of this datasource is comparable in time
Data limitations
Describes any limitations on the data of this data source
Data modification date
This field indicates the date of the most recent update applied to the indicators associated with this data source, but excludes any underlying indicators that are not part of it (for example, a formula combining indicators from multiple data sources).
